Instructions for Five Spice Pork Chinese Recipes:
Cut the pork into thick strips. Sprinkle and rub with the salt, five-spice powder and cornflour. Marinate for 30 minutes. Chop the ginger and garlic finely. In either a wok or deep-fryer, heat the oil. Once hot, fry half of the pork over medium heat for 3 1/2 minutes. Drain and place in a bowl. Fry the remaining pork the same as above. Drain and add to bowl. Add the soy sauce and sugar to the pork, mixing well. Set aside the remaining oil, with the exception of 2 tablespoons. Re-heat the wok or pan. When hot, stir in the ginger, garlic, sea salt and pepper over medium heat for 30 seconds. Add the already fried pork to the pan. Stir around quickly so that the pork is evenly coated by the spicy ingredients. Turn and stir for 1 minute. Serve hot.
